How much is child support in Poland?
PLN 1,619 a month on average in divorce cases and PLN 1,453 in maintenance cases outside divorce - that is what courts awarded in 2025.
The first figure is the average for divorces in which maintenance was awarded for the children; the second covers all maintenance cases outside divorce - children were the claimants in 42,264 of 46,800 of them, or 90%. A decade earlier the divorce average was PLN 736, so the amounts have more than doubled. The actual amount depends on the parents’ income and the child’s needs.
